Thanks for bringing back the old instrumental Chinese New Year music at youtube here.
The other bands which I can remember of are the Silverstone,, Travelers... and Stylers has always be my favorite. I know that Mr John Teo ( 张平福老师 ) is still active in the musical industry in Singapore and I am not sure where the others have gone. The music has changed a lot with digital technology but the lead guitar still sounds the same at that I heard during my school day. Master John Teo you are a legend.
In the later year Jeffrey Ong is no more in the Band. They restructured to form The New Stylers during the 80's. Only John Teo,Douglas Tan and Randy Lee remained. They produced more Chinese Instrumental music.
Stylers back row from left to right Robert Song (percussionist) John Teo (lead guitar) Jeffrey Ong (keyboard) front row left to right Alvin Wong (drummer) Douglas Tan (Bassist) and Randy Lee (rythm guitar)
OMG - Rewinding my childhood memories. Awesome.
