This time around I followed Greg due South over some of the most brilliant terrain I've seen to date in Korea. You have to pay your dues on bland, open stretch of highway for the first 40km or so, but the payback is ten fold once you're finally able to veer-off into a mountainous valley. The country road snakes its way through farmers' fields, along side a meandering river, and every now and then steep mountains expose their sheer granite faces from behind the lush green foliage...

@circumambulate his ride was on some really nice roads out in the Buan Peninsula. That part of 36 you're talking about is a lot of fun, but have you tried 36 around the area of Chunju, east to Uljin? Crazy good. Just turn after turn (all right, there a few straightish areas, but not many) for hours, right to the coast. Amazing ride. We hope to get down to Jeju in the next month or two. bet you know a good road or two out there?

Nice vid, reminds me of ridin on the mainland. Check out highway 32 then 36 from Daejeon to Boryeung for a ride with tons of twisties (couple 180's even). I think it's close to your neck of the woods.
Have you guys ridin' Jeju? I'm ridin here nowadays and it's gorgeous with great roads, turns, scenery and weather. 14C and sunny in Feb - can't beat that in SoKo.

they're more of a joke, but yeah, they are speedbumps. It's one of those really small ones that just gives you a better drive, lol..
