  • Excellent playing on all of this series. Is this harpsichord steel strung everywhere, or is there some brass in the bass? How does it sound in temperaments that are kinder to G major? The bass octaves aren't quite in tune here either, and it distracts from the beautiful performance. But, bravo!

  • Yes, there is some brass in the bass. It is slightly out of tune because the instrument is brand new, and is not stable yet. We did a quick tuning before Laurence played.

  • The harpsichord was built by Andrew Garlick in the U.K. and it is brand new as of June 2007.

  • Why is all what this man plays beautiful?

  • Very beautiful new harpsichord so well played.

  • Top rate harpsichord

  • Your harpsichord (not to mention your playing) is exquisite. May I ask who built your instrument and how old it is? I love the rich, resonant sound and even on my laptop computer it sounds lush. 'Much enjoyed, thank you.
