How often do they do this at the coliseum? and what is needed to qualify safety wise? Im sure it goes by mods and my 86 svo is pretty heavily modded and Id love to do this once its back together but I dont have any harnesses or a cage or anything..
@brace06 AutoX4u.com is the hub for auto cross racing in the tri-state area. The schedules for 2012 should be up soon. No cage needed, you can drive a grandma's station wagon if it passes minimal tech inspection. Get a snell2010+ rated helmet and have a blast. Good luck buddy.
@NedacFilms Empty car of anything not bolted down; floor mats, jack, spare tire, & anything that will move around during run - they class you by car type with attention paid to engine size and/or modifications - Finally they note the tires you have (race compounds or street tires). Bring a helmet (snell 2005 or newer) and you can run all out. Courses are built upon the 60/60 rule which means 60mph max speed and 60-seconds long, of course they vary slightly, but this is the general parameters.
@87turbotbirds Thanks, its a blast when I can out there. the warhorse has a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd in only 8-outings...competition is stiff with Gen-III Camaros & C4 Vettes in my division. Thanks for looking.

What type rules and limitations are in your particular class, and what cars compete?
