hi.
im having some trouble with the alternately rotating disks. Can you please explain your setup to me? thank you

attraction and repulsion between magnets is a compleate mystery when assumed
the magnets have a north and a south pole. they have only one. the magets repel
and attract only because the particles inside the magets are repelling each other
but since the particles in both magnets have a standing wave, the direction of the field determine whatever the standing waves are in phase attract or out of phase repel. the reason a piece of steel have no magnetic field is because the protons are in phase.
-
what happed when you induce electric charge is that the electric field of standingwave electrons are out of phase between each other and align their wave in phase with electrons that are alredy in phase with each other. the induced alignment of electrons make them repel each other but attract the field that induced it. the scientists didn´t include a vector to the space surrounding particles
when they assumed the interaction between particles that determines the spin direction.

ever seen a magnet attracted to a piece of steel? the magnetic pull is not from attraction between electrons and protons. there is a much better explenation for it.
instead of positive and negative charge you have an electron dipole with a standing wave around it. electrons will repel or attract each other dependent on their spin. their spin is determine by the direction of the standing wave in 3space.
either the standing waves repel or attract. in other words direction of depth.

i hate the positive and negative charge explanation. i think it´s wrong becouse it doesn´t make eny sense. if an electron has negative charge and a proton has a postive charge and like charges repel for me is a little stupid because the electron
have much less mass than a proton, and as far as i know the repulsion between electrons produce a static field. the same chould be for magnetism. protons repelling protons chould produce a magnetic field.

Do the leyden capacitors need to be grounded or just connected together?

ok thanks for the tip, I don't have any experience yet.

¿¿¿que diametro tienen los discos???
what is the brush material? is it a safe amperage? very good! I like it, im trying, unsuccessful, to make an electrostatic machine. is this an easy one?

No brushes - just foil combs that are close, but don't touch discs. Amperage not high until you connect capacitors. Try sectored Wimshurst first. Unlike Wimshurst (which is almost identical to Bonetti), Bonetti requires user with some skill in being able to begin and maintain charges.

thats what you call a spark - worth waiting till the end !
thanks for the nice details showing the collectors and brushes (and your other vids are great too)
why did cheese says its not a Bonetti - no sectors - its not a wimshurst
what did you make the disks from ?

Thank you for your compliments. Not sure what cheese meant.

Wonderful job! Is there any external powersupply other than the crank or does it just rely on already present miniscule charges on the discs and capacitors like a dirod does?

External: at least initially. It has to be 'started' by an external source. In this case, I just charge a piece of PVC pipe by rubbing it with a paper towell.
