If you are referring to service standards, the traveling public has made clear that it prefers to have inexpensive initial tickets, so the airlines had to raise fees and cut services. However there are limits - i.e. most passengers want free nonalcoholic drinks.

Please also add "Kitakyushu," "Kitakyuushuu," and "airport "as search terms - Since in Japanese 北九州空港 = Kitakyushu Airport, it would make sense to have the English search terms too

Also 関西線 is Fukuoka Prefecture in English - please add "Fukuoka" and "Prefecture" as search terms too

I think it has to do with the economics of the markets and brand images.

Also many marquee airlines like Singapore Airlines are entirely international. The bread and butter of US airline operations are shorthaul domestic.

Now why are airlines in America so crappy? I'd fly them for sure if they flew international.
