Minnesota logging of virgin pine near Canyon. Film depicts how logging was done in the 40's. Karl Dahl, with a few friends and family members and a couple horses. A sayer named Raladak brings in his sawmill that transforms a pile of logs to lumber. Even Karl's wife Marie teams up on the two man saw. (Marie was the mother of 12 at the time.)
Also in the film, long time friend Ole B Nelson, sons Raymond, Lester, Donald, and Russel.
