Albert Goldman is an intellectual, which is the word for a man who has never made anything but feels qualified to insult the creativity of others.

Spector's productions were perfect for teenagers to listen to on portable transistor radios. They were never intended for intellectuals to listen to on modern audiophile systems.

"You've Lost That Lovin' Feeling" is the most played single of all time. Nobody even remembers Goldman existed, except for this critique of Spector.

@Atomicflash500 I've met Ronnie on more than one occasion, and I've always heard her say and write she and Estelle are Black, Native American and White. Nedra is the Afro-Hispanic.

@Atomicflash500 That's not true. In Ronnie's memoir she states that all three of them biracial, or "half-breeds" as she put it. Ronnie and Estelle are White on their father's side, and Black & Native American on their mother's side. And their cousin Nedra is Black and Puerto Rican.

@wayydowneast Spector was a Jew as well. Goldman's ethnicity has nothing to do with it. Some Jews are pigs, some are princes, just like every other ethnic group. Fact is, Spector exploited a lot of his artists whose talents made him bundles of money that he should have shared with them. This doesn't negate his talents as a writer or producer, but it is part of the historical record. Just like his horrible treatment of Ronnie Bennett, who he nearly destroyed. For that, I'll never forgive him.
