One Day When You Wear My Shoes
words by Paul Bradford
music by Paul Bradford and Rick Lasso
This is like it was before,
only now there's so much more
More to tell and more to face
for all the rats that run the race
Oh yeah, all right
Rewind tonight
You talk down to me like a child,
look real close my eyes are wild
I'll be there grinning like a beast
watching justice have its feast
Oh yeah, all right
Rewind tonight
It's what you are now
I am a mansion, ignorant
you my friend are paying rent
Know the pain of your abuse
one day when you wear my shoes
Oh yeah, all right
Rewind tonight
Retribution or reward,
It's what you think you can afford
Gain in health but lose in mind
You won't like what you might find
Oh yeah, all right
Rewind tonight
It's what you are now
one day when you wear my shoes, one day
one day when you wear my shoes, one day
one day when you wear my shoes, one day
one day when you wear my shoes, one day

I knew you were Superman in disguise Paul. Then Rick must be Batman. ;))
That was awesome!! One of my fav songs form you guys and one of the best I heard in recent years from anyone! It's a great rock song with that rock feel that the great bands had. Wings,Kiss, Kansas, etc. I love the bass playing! Man that rocked!! and Rick's guitar playing fills out the song beautifully! Just two guys and two instruments and live in the batcave, and it rocked like nothing else! You guys are the best! :))

fellows, real good lyric writing on this one, lots of good phrases like "watching justice have its feast". i really like those power type chords after "rewind tonight". it gives that extra kick to the performance, like an exclamation point at the end of a sentence. some writers of a song like this might have included a bridge where the tempo changes, but i like how the drive of the song is maintained throughout, as if to say "our message isn't changing, nor should our delivery". 5's chuck
