Losing an engine in a Jet Airplane has guarantees that pistons don't have.

Watch aviation legends John and Martha Watch aviation legends John and Martha King takeoff in a transport category jet and simulate losing an engine at the most critical moment of takeoff.

It's no secret, multi-engine aircrafts are fast and they're fun. With greater power, bigger size, and more levers, knobs, and dials—they can deliver a thrill way beyond the pleasure of single-engine flight. But we all know twins can be dangerous if the PIC isn't properly trained and proficient.

  • JETS ARE AWESOME!!!!!!!!

  • I love the way they make little rhymes and acronyms like "black square you're there". Think one "odd north east". wouldnt it be great if somebody started making similar video and cbt()computer based training) products for learning things like maths and physics. It would make the learning process easier. These 2 are such great educators and sadly there isnt enough people like them in british schools. They appear to have psychologically planned there lessons well

  • hey what equipment did they use to record the intercom? I know its a jet but their piston engine videos also sounds clear. Can anyone help? Thanks

  • @jm431 He killed one of the engines (throttle to idle). It looks like a simulated engine failure during takeoff.

  • @ubermarklar wrong they are in a 500 you can tell if by nothing else by the length of the fuelsalge, there are 3 windows on the 500/501 and there are 3 on the one in the video where as the 560 has 7 lol

  • what was the lever he pulled down at 0:38? it looks like the spoilers but i dont think he would use spoilers for taking off..
