Advancing floods test Bangkok's defences

Thailand's government has declared a five-day holiday to allow Bangkok residents to escape the worst flooding in Thailand in five decades.
According to official figures, more than two million people have been affected by the deepening floodwaters.
Al Jazeera's Wayne Hay reports from Bangkok.

A little over a week ago the Thai PM said now way would Bangkok be flooded. All one had to do was look at a satellite photo of all the water North of Bangkok that eventually would have to drain out to the sea through Bangkok to know that statement was a bunch of BS. The government is still not telling the people the truth or accepting any help from outside Thailand as they just want to save face instead of save lives!
