Senator Lavalle, a Suffolk County Republican, argues for giving back STAR rebate checks to Long Islanders while his colleague, Suffolk County Democrat Brian Foley, votes "no": depriving Long Islanders of more than $368 million in property tax relief.

  • Kudos to Senator LaValle. Foley did not stand up for the taxpayers of Long Island, whom he represents. How sad that he towed the NYC party line on this vote He needs to be shown the door in the next election. Thank God for Senator LaValle, as least he is there protecting our best interests.
