Hello All, Found this nice 1/4 ounce gold nugget with the Minelab GPX5000 metal detector and new Coiltek Mono Blitz Searchcoil. This new searchcoil is using Litz searchcoil wire. The new Blitz design gets better depth, sensitivity, falsing stability and less EMI interence.

  • lol, he's all calm, you can tell he has a bunch of nuggets under his belt.

  • @biggrex Hey Biggrex, I have found thousands of gold nuggets ranging from very small ones to ones almost a pound in size. That being said, they are all fun to dig up regardless of size. I enjoy finding a nugget in a new area cause you never know the potential of that area.

  • @biggrex Hey Rex, trust me, I still get excited, but after you have dug many nuggets it's not like the first one anymore. When I dug my first gold nugget back in the early 90's I was yelling, screaming and jumping around like I struck it rich! :) This hobby is truly a passion of mine. I'm not sure I have ever had another hobby where I can say you can pay for your equipment and more, tons of exercise and all the thrills and excitement of digging the next target.

  • where u find this?

  • @solojam Hello Solojam, the nugget was found in Central Arizona using a Minelab GPX5000 and new Coiltek blitz searchcoil.

  • Wouuld one of those minelabs be good for using along a river bank to hunt gravel bars, or bed rock out cropings? Real nice find. Wow.. I would like one of them.

  • @jessgo33 Hello There, Yes the Minelab metal detectors can be used on all the spots you mentioned. I've used them on exposed bedrock, gravel bars, washes, hillsides, benches and anywhere else gold nuggets and specimens can be found. Give us a call at 623.362.1459 and we can chat more about them. • Well done, Is that dark rock what they would call a "leader"? The old timers woulda sunk a shaft on that spot fur sure. Keep those vids coming we love em.

  • @Nuggethunting Agreed, I just was remarking how remarkably calm you were for the camera, I guess I'm just used to seeing some Aussie guy stammering with expletives as he pulls out a whopper.

  • Nice find with that nugget ! And a very nice machine . Some day I will have one but it will be awhile .

  • I have heard a lot about the GPX5000! Nice find!
