Emerging countries : what and where are risks of overheating ?
The IMF warned of a risk of overheating in emerging countries. Why is that? FRANCOIS FAURETo define the state of overheating, there are four common features. First, a level of activity and also growth in activity above potentials which are generally combined with acceleration in wages and  salaries. Secondly, domestic credit growth largely above growth in production. Thirdly, deterioration in current account deficits. And fourthly, asset price bubbles in some cases.  SIBYLLESo is it generalized to all emerging economies?  FRANCOIS FAUREWe cannot say that.
