The company's Power7 systems will be tailored to be used for specific projects such as running complex financial analysis. Meanwhile, Super Bowl viewers were presented with a minute-long commercial by Google, in a rare move by the Internet search giant to use television advertising space. The ad seen by football fans was part of a video series that have been running on YouTube for over three months.
Google shares are up a fifth of percent midday Monday. IBM down half a percent.
