OKC FUNK

I was hired to do a video for these guys. They already had the track. But this was I guess before they got big. The day of the shoot was a crazy one. Originally I was hired to shoot the video of two gangs that a cool paster was trying to bring together. Everybody gathered up all their friends because we needed a lot of people. We arrived early and this was to be a 3 camera shoot. My friend had two cameras and had agreed to help me. All of a sudden we heard shots and of course everybody started running. Yep, even my extra camera man with his two cameras. The producer was upset because he was really trying to get this thing together. He looked at me and asked me if I was leaving. I said with my one camera, lets do this thing.
It was a all day shoot, from morning till night at three different locations. This was the result of the end product that you have seen

what's the long story behind this? did you make this video? was this played? i wasn't around OKC when this came out

Yes, this was shot back in 93' or 94'. It was an all day shoot that I did myself. They got the album out after this was made. I know they showed it at a couple of clubs on the big screen promoting the album but they never got the music video part of it out. Don't know why.

There is an interesting story behind the shooting of this video. I will put it up shortly.

@217champion They had this track done already. It was done to bring two gangs together with this song. A young Minister paid me to shot a video of the hood together. There was shots fired by one of the gang members that morning we got started and everybody left except me and the producer. He asked me what I wanted to do? I said lets shot this thing. We got everybody back together and this was the result.

Don't know if they had other. I left OKC in 96 and I heard they were going to do an album.

But its almost 2011 they dont have another album u known where they could be i like they music. What year wa this video shoot than ?The song for the radio is a cut by them wish they were around still any news on them. U shoot this with one cam becaues i can tell uguys did not have a lot of money.

@217champion Richo's hair Salon is the only guy I've seen since then. That's been about 3 years ago. I always ask him what ever happened but at the time he didn't know. I don't know. If you can find Richo he might know somebody that might know. I tried to find them on the net. The credits may help.

this was to be a 3 camera shoot but after the gun fire I was minus 2 cameras. good luck
