Just a few short years ago the U.S. Army Airborne knew "what right looks like" and operated M551 Sheridan and M113 Gavin light tracked armored fighting vehicles (TAFVs) capable of world-wide parachute delivery from USAF 500+ mph fixed-wing aircraft. Lately, all of America's light forces have been getting clobbered in the current wheeled truck fashion fad and common sense, get-the-job-done functionality needs to re-assert itself with TAFVs starting with widely available M113 Gavins re-equipping the Delta Weapons companies that now have Humvee truck deathtraps. The entire purpose of the M113 was to be an Airborne Armored Multi-Purpose Vehicle Family (AAM-PVF) at the direction of General Gavin, Head of Army Research & Development

  • queens the best

  • German paratroopers are the best

  • "we are the champions and we keep on fighting till the end" how ironic... :(

  • dude!that was awesome.

  • Sheridan is retired, warts and all but it never had a suitable replacement. M113 is great, but I've never seen a film of it being dropped out of anything.Stryker will barely fit in Herc for roll-off, don't think it can be dropped even out of a C-17.
