  • Sounds like my grandad lool :) thanks for the song :D

  • @SkullOfYorick WW1 and WW2 led to the collapse of European imperialism. When large segments of the world are under the rule of a handful of empires, that's not democracy. I'm not saying democracy overtook the world right after WW2, there was the Cold War, and dictatorships did spring up in parts of the world. But WW2 got the U.S. out of isolation & dealt a serious defeat to Fascism, yes Communism became the new threat but that's what happens when you solve 1 problem, a new one eventually arises.

  • @MrGeraldLord WW2 wasn't exactly a victory for democracy. Spain, Eastern Europe, China, Taiwan and Korea all either became or remained dictatorships. The European empires were dismantled and largely fell into poverty, misery and dictatorship. Western Europe was sucked into the Euro-federalist dictatorship. The only countries that benefited were the US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, and Taiwan (albeit only after the transition to democracy).
