Glima is used to get into the rhythm of a sword fight, and not for unarmed combat as many think. This is not martial arts training, its war training.

Grabbing the shorts is illegal under MMA rules, at least in the UFC. SInce that's based on the rule sestablished by states such as NJ and, NV, I'm assuming it's that way in most leagues.

As far as MMA goes, this is only one split second of the game, breaking some ones form for a takedown.
