The two versions are just different. One isn't better than the other. Having said that I do like the extra sense of fragility Arcade Fire bring to this song. Like one of those parcels that say FRAGILE but in this case it's a song or maybe a heart.

I like this, it gets this feeling of being so fragile if I touched it, the song would break into a million pieces like some long lost artifact.
