@fantasyVfacts maybe, just maybe, she is a teenage girl and is lamenting the fact that the sun isn't high in the sky like it was in her beloved Phoenix...or maybe you're right and the earth was spinning off it's axis at the time

@katmandu7777 That's not what I meant. I know that a change in latitude alters how we see the sun's path, but it doesn't mean the sun is in the wrong place in the sky. To be in the wrong place, it would have to be outside of it's path, or the earth out of orbit, resulting in a drastic temperature change and the apocalypse.

@fantasyVfacts when I lived in CA, the sunlight was totally different than when I moved to MN. In the northern states, the sun doesn't sit directly above you as much as it does in the southern states....especially in the late fall to early spring, it stays more on the horizon.

the girl that plays Jessica in the movie is so perfect. Actually, the whole supporting cast is fantastic, especially Charlie. Too bad the vamps looked like they were dredged in flour.

Ah, she was missing him already. I think this is the second time I heard the word 'chagrin'. I love her description of the beach. You read this then see the movie scene...disappointing.
