The 1968 classic Rosemary's Baby is a must see.
It is directed by Roman Polanski and based on a novel by Ira Levin, which is a good read.
The most memorable performance is by Mia Farrow and the most controversial appearance is by Anton LeVey the head of the Satanic Church.
Rosemary and Guy have a wonderful life in a great apartment building in New York City. Rosemary and Guy decide to get pregnant, One night Rosemary has a horrible nightmare of being raped by the devil (played by Anton LeVey). shortly after the dream Rosemary finds out she is pregnant early on and she is met with a strange cast of character's all wanting to help her. The neighbors Roman and Minnie and Doctor Sapirstein the best obgyn in the city.
During the pregnancy she learns they are all Satanist and they want her baby.
The movie is artfully done and would make anyone including a new parent cringe.
The most memorable line in the book and the movie is by Farrow. She asks a single question. What have you done to his eyes, you maniacs!
I give it a thumbs up.
