WOODBURY — A six-bay garage fire at 218 Old Sherman Hill Rd. on Saturday, December 2, resulted in the total loss of the structure.
The unattached garage and four cars were destroyed in the fire. There were no injuries and no other outbuildings or the main house were impacted.
Fire Chief Janet Morgan said the Woodbury Volunteer Fire Department arrived quickly and hosed down other structures on the property to ensure the fire did not impact them.
She said a crew and engine from Southbury assisted and a tanker from the Middlebury Volunteer Fire Department was ready to assist.
The Roxbury Volunteer Fire Department was on standby in the Woodbury facility, Chief Morgan said.
Austin Cantu of Southbury, a member of the Southbury Volunteer Firemen's Association's Junior Corps, took this video and supplied it to Voices.
