Body temperature is the perfect temperature for melting chocolate. If the temperature is too high the chocolate will "seize" and burnt chocolate just taste nasty!  If you want a faster melting method yet still safe, you can put the zip loc bag of chocolate chips in a cup of warm water. But armpit power is more fun. Thanks for watching.

pixieperfect, I think the reason they use armpit power instead of a microwave is because it's the safest way for little kids. They can't burn themselves, plus it's fun. My daughter loves melting the chocolate chips.
