Nai'a ~ The Hawaiian Spinner Dolphin

The Hawaiian name for dolphin is nai'a, and refers to most all dolphins found here, most commonly to the spinner dolphins that frequent coastal areas of the hawaiian islands. In certain areas in Hawaii, spinner dolphins are seen on an almost daily basis. They are famous for their acrobatic displays in which they spin repeatedly, with each spin tending to get smaller and smaller, finishing with an emphatic side slap.
