Josiah is eleven now and this is one of the pieces he performed recently.

From Josiah:
This is a song I play in church. Although it is not classical it does have some similarities to the classical pieces I am playing. The left hand is in constant motion and the fingering is hard in places. I will be putting up some of those classical pieces soon.

About the Arranger:

Michael Cox is Professor of Music Theory and Composition at the Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary's School of Church Music. Prior to joining the faculty at Southwestern in the fall of 1990, Dr. Cox taught conducting, composition, and music theory at Oklahoma Baptist University in Shawnee, Oklahoma.

  • Congratulations, it is very beautiful!!

  • i can tell you, from knowing Dr. Cox personally, he would be very pleased with your interpretation of that piece. Great job!

  • I just played this song during our communion this morning, here in Taiwan. I was playing my own arrangement...:P.... I love this song!!!! I have to say this arrangement in this video is awesome!!!! Good job!!!! ^_^

  • Wow. That is one of my favorite songs. Sang it in choir a Capella. Anyone know where I can find the sheet music for this arrangement? ;-D

  • Thank you very much. I love your style and technique. Quite remarkable for "Just a kid" (your words, not mine!). Keep up the good work.

Ask your parents to buy a piano mic and other higher quality recording equipment to get a recording in high fidelity worthy of all the work you do. And, let us all know if you ever record professionally. I'd pay for a CD, classical or religious.

  • This piece is purely amazing.
