Here's what I received in the mail on Tuesday —just one of dozens of TOTAL ACCESS DENIED that I've received over the years from the City.

Reason for denying access?

And the evil, preposterous thing is this; Peel Regional Police handed over all their records of this graffiti bombing of Mississauga City Hall (40 photos compared to just the 11 that City Security has!)

And Peel Police had zero concerns that handing these records over could be reasonably expected to affect law enforcement investigations or proceedings by divulging evidence.

For the record, there are no media in MYTHissauga. And please spell that capital M. Y. T. H. and lower-case issauga.

We dont have a television station in MYTHissauga. Citizens are merely inflicted with a way that the City has found to funnel its Trust, Quality, Excellence Party Line straight into our living rooms...

...As for MYTHissaugas only newspaper? Coverage of City Hall is a joke.

Its truly preposterous to call what were blighted with here in MYTHissauga media. And nationally, were not that well-served either.

Where are the Edward R. Murrows?

Frankly, todays Murrows are more likely to be citizen-Bloggers filing Freedom of Information than hailing from the Toronto Stars or National Posts.

And if all others accepted the lie which the Party imposed—if all records told the same tale—then the lie passed into history and became truth. Who controls the past, ran the Party slogan, controls the future: who controls the present controls the past.
