Judith Filler was the second speaker at The Execution of David Lee Powell Press Conference, held at the Texas State Capitol in Austin, Texas on Wednesday, June 9, 2010. She is a human rights activist and has been a close friend of David's for more than twenty years.
The speakers at Powell's Press Conference were Sissy Farenthold, Jude Filler, David's uncle Clemens Struve, MD, Criminal Defense Attorney Walter Long and David's attorney Richard Burr.
My camera cut out halfway through Walter Long's powerful presentation and consequently I was unable to obtain video of Richard Burr's outstanding presentation of David Powell's clemency application which was recently submitted to the Texas Board of Pardons and Paroles.
