This is a Kodachrome colour silent film with intertitles, made by the London County Council about the parks of London.
The film shows London's parks and open spaces in the immediate post-war years. Parks such as Hampstead Heath, Battersea Park and Brockwell Park are shown. There are sports and activities to energise Londoners- tennis, netball, golf, tug-of-war and cycling. There are shots of people swimming in a Lido and outdoor pools, as well as people boating on the lakes. There are lingering images of the rich and colourful gardens and flowers of London's parks.
16mm Kodachrome A colour reversal film.

an adorably innocent vision of london and beautiful photography of flowers - I think - quality of this transfer spoiling the presentation somewhat and its very blurred. Shame.

It's got the ski jumping :-) Ski jumping, in a London Park? Yes it did happen. Insane but brilliant.
