I'm all for Team Jane

Jane was a good woman, and a good stepmother to Mary! Mary needed some guidance and care, and I wish Jane had lived longer.

"Are you saying that I should be queen instead of her?!" Yeah right trick. You knew what was happening the whole time. Damn I was born in the wrong era...and race. Henry wouldn't have known what hit him.

NOBODY told that man what to do. King Henry VIII was a hot mess but so entertaining! If he got pissed and/or bored,it was game OVER. Everyone gives him a pass. He was tricked by Cromwell, seduced by Anne Boleyn, etc. Who believes that one of England's greatest kings was a malleable fool? Bullshit. Elizabeth had more of his personality than she did her mother's. King Henry was a domineering dude and did exactly as he pleased. Elizabeth and Mary to a certain extent, had that same trait.

Henry finally realised what a scheming manipulative bitch Anne really is after marrying her. Lets not forget he is a pious man and is remorseful esp of the execution of Sir Thomas More which was instigated by Anne. Her deviousness is the cause of him falling out of love with her. He didn't marry Jane only to beget a son because he actually did fall in love with her. He always refered to her as being kind hearted, pure, sweet and untainted.

omg edward seymour!! I almost forgot how young he looked in season 2!!

@peacedesertrose Well to be honest, I find her portrait entirely unattractive. Also while I agree that portraits were not always reliable,I believe that a portrait of Jane would have to be a pretty accurate likeness due to her status as the Queen who gave Henry an heir. There's ofcourse the chance that a court artist would enhance the subject's looks but I highly doubt the artist would intentionally make Jane Seymour look different/worse than she did..Tthat's why I believe she was unattractive.

@Nicollie1062 her portrait isn't as unflattering as people make out. plus portraits are not exactly reliable as to what people looked like back then..

Everyone says that jane was innocent. She did the same thing that Anne did to Katherine. So technically she isnt inncocent. And Henry fell for her beacause she was the exact oppisite of Anne. Just like anne was the exact oppisite of Katherine.

@tomfletonhater2 i doubt jane was 100% innocent since she was around in court during KoA's reign. The Tudors could have introduced her a bit earlier, maybe after the episode of Thomas More's death. Sir Nicholas Carew should have been included, since he was a Catholic & when he found out Henry's interest in Jane, he supported it and historically, was among those responsible for Anne's downfall.
