    The sound you can hear from about 1:10 is the 50hp cooling fan. Normally they only come on during very hot weather, but this time was switched on for the benefit of those in the front coach!

  • @goonerlewis16 The 45 and 46 have the 'B' rated model of 12LDA 28 engine, but the 45/1's seem to have a higher idle speed, probably so the engine can idle without stalling when powering an ETH load. The class 44 had the early 'A' rated engine without intercoolers.
