I can relate a lot to what she is feeling, cause like her, I never had my mother either. She left when I was only a couple of months old and I thought that she was dead till I was 15 when she suddenly walked back into my life. I get emotional when I talk about her. Unless you have been there in that kind of sistuation, you just cannot know what it is like.Here's to you Kellie. Great job!!!

Beautifully done...have to agree with some of the posts., switch it up and that would be my DAD and MOM. Not sure where their at? Sometimes I wonder? But then again I dont. Wouldn;t know what to say or how to forgive.

I love this song only because i can relate to it my mom left when i was young and i dont know anything about her even tho i wish i did im in my almost grown out of my teen years and it still hits me that shes not in my life even tho i have a wonderful life with my step mother and dad and brothers and sisters i still wish i just knew her :( well i love this song and its funny i was born in californi and i think thats where shes now ???

Those of you who do not know, Kelly was raised by her grandparents since about 2 years old. Her mother was not in her life at all till she had contacted her as a young adult. So many emotions flowed from her heart singing this song.

The fact that she messed up the lyrics because she was so deep in emotion shows a lot about Kellie. It's not about how well she sings it, its about the meaning of the song. I love love LOVE her! Her songs mean so much and they make me cry every time!! She's amazing!! I'd much rather listen to her mess the lyrics while practically crying than singing it perfectly and not having meaning behing the words.
