The Internet, created for society as a whole, has found its major usage within two primary groups of users; namely, business and amusement, with each group presenting its own set of concerns for our governing bodies of law authors (congress).
Perhaps the most focused group of concern, by our law makers encompasses the young adults who use the Internet for music, games and chat rooms, which another group of individuals also share similar interest in, namely society's, pedophiles. So, the internet can provide a dangerous environment if trusting young adults are not careful who they make friends with on the Internet, but this no more dangerous in many ways as their daily lives; walking to school, shopping or socializing with their friends. Any where access to strangers is available.
With the aforementioned understood by all, what protection dose the law offer to young adults, without violating their personal freedom? After all, young adults are granted the same constitutional rights as adults are, except the right to vote until they reach eighteen years of age.
Also, we find over zealous law enforcement officials who enforce the law, not as they were intended, but for personal political gain, which in essence violates a young adult's personal liberties.
This issue will have to be carefully studied by our next incoming President, hopefully Senator Obama and the new congress to insure adequate protection is provided without violating the civil rights of the Internet's users.

What only one comment on this subject? WTFIWWYP? The United States is one of the least literate of all Euro Centric societys especially when it comes to the power of the spoken and written word and it is also one most illiterate in understanding power now held in central hands who use fear of incarceration and fines to limit the free exchange of ideas. Any thoughts that imply "Free Will" outside their control are now targeted and free access to instruments of free speech is what they fear most.
