Is Hugh better in term of gameplay? In the original, I remember he was quite useless.

If you check out my Mother Brain and Dark Force battle videos (with Nei), it shows just how useful Hugh can be. :) His Vol and Savol attacks are also much more effective, and I've found him to be a better physical attacker (he has a few more weapon options).

@CinnabonChan Actually, I just saw that in the Phantasy Star 2 Text Adventures (those text-based adventure games released only in Japan, but there is an english translation available) Huey has a girlfriend! The text in the game says: "Huey's girlfriend Rita is waving at him from across the tables." I don't think they meant "girl friend", it's actually girlfriend! Now you can dream about marring him again. lol
