PC Finance Critic Norm Miller Calls for Transparency on Residual Stranded Debt

"Tell us how much longer we will be paying the debt retirement charges, and come clean with Ontario families wondering where all their money went" said Miller. To date, Ontario familes have paid a total of $7.8 billion, equivalent to Ontario's residual stranded debt. The McGuinty government not only failed to pay off the debt, but pushed the repayment debt twice. Currently, it is said to be paid by 2015. The question is, where did the $7.8 billion go?

MPP Norm Miller calls for the "current balance and amount paid to date of the residual stranded debt be displayed in the annual report of the Ontario Electricity Financial Corp. and on hydro bills so Ontario families will know how much longer they will pay the debt retirement charge."
