Belvedere Castle in Central Park NYC! This was filmed in 1977 when the Castle, as well as the rest of the park and City was in a serious state of disrepair. Some of the Castle windows were boarded up, Some masonry was missing, Grafitti covered much of it, and it's corners made for good lavatories and drug dens.
@Drchainsaw77 It's harmonic minor (natural 6th, raised 7th). I could never keep them straight until I remembered that in minor harmonies, the 7th is raised so there's a leading tone, but in melodies the 6th is also raised to avoid the augmented second :)
Belvedere's Castle is awesome! I went there to meet The Count and help him count the Castle stones but he was not home!!

This was my first exposure to the concept of the "harmonic minor" scale.
