Nice karaoke of the ballad "Light A Candle", which represented Israel in the Eurovision song contest 2002. Enjoy! :-)
It's in Hebrew and English

  • I really love this song. It is an absolute outrage that the usual anti-Israel bias that emanates from the EU prevented such a nice song from winning.

Does anyone know who the beautiful woman with short dark hair playing the violin is? She is on Sarit's left.

  • Beautiful !!! Bellissima !!! ^^

  • Elle s'était bien défendue pourtant. Dommage pour son classement !! L'eurovision c'est devenu trop politique

  • can someone explain how is this karaoke?

  • and ppl say that jewish girls are fugly :O

  • Wonderful song!!

  • "I love Sarit Hadad. However" etc

It wasn't the choice of song that was the problem, but the blatant anti-Israel sentiment that was prevailing in the EU at the time. It didn't matter what Sarit sang - they would only have found another reason for not liking it.

  • I love Sarit Hadad. However, I have to say this was a poor selection of song. She really does not sound good singing the English chorus. It's very cliche & the accent doesn't work well there. The Hebrew sounds good. There are so many good songs she has that I think could have done it. I don't blame Eurovision for not having this one as a winner. Her advisers/producers have to stop trying to westernize her & make her Celine Dion, & let her do what she does best: Sing beautiful Mizrachi music.

  • a million candles will never make Europe love the Muslim nation less
