A short teaser for an upcoming project of mine that combines LEGO and ABC's LOST, 2 of my favorite things of all time. Now that LOST has come to it's brilliant end I am making a fan film that basically celebrates and sums up some of my favorite parts of the show in a new and decidedly LEGO way, combining the humor we know and love from the LEGO brand's previous licensed products (Star Wars, Indiana Jones and now Pirates of the Caribbean). This is purely something I am doing as a fan, and based on the feedback I get on this and other promo material I put out I will see how quickly it gets done. I am pushing for a release date in 2011, so that the memory of the show is still relatively fresh for the viewers.

  • hey what blueprints did you use to make the minifig?

  • @JONIMASAKIS I googled "technical drawing of a minifigure" and the first 5 or so images are the one I used.

Also, my minifigure mesh is available to purchase on Turbosquid, message me if you want the details :) and thanks for watching!

  • @richardvanas1 And what about the lush bricks? There are only brick measurements throughout the web. Damn i find it so hard to find even blueprints for the hair/wigs of the minifigs..

  • @JONIMASAKIS well I just know that a lego minifigure is exactly 3 bricks tall, and I just extrapolated from there. As for the other stuff there's a lot of guess work involved

  • how did you make this

  • @rockstarbenjamin02 well it was done using Autodesk Maya, I built all the digital lego bricks and characters and slapped this little teaser together :) thanks for asking

  • You're gonna need a lot of bricks for Hurley.

  • thanks for all the comments everyone! I am thinking that the format of this will now be a series of shorts, maybe no longer than 30 seconds per episode that lovingly spoof lost, or fill in parts that were never covered, such as who built the 4 toed statue, but in a funny LEGO way. Based on the reaction I have gotten from this trailer I am definitely moving forward full steam ahead with this project :) look out for episode 1 soon!

  • @jed89lol yeah I checked them out, nice work!

  • @richardvanas1 I'm making some stop motion vids if you wanna go on my channel

  • @jed89lol lol well the point is that it is in the lego style, just the same as the games or cartoon network specials. I would love to make the whole thing in stop motion with real lego, but I just dont have the resources! thanks for asking
