Sammy drops in on Sunburst, Turnagain Pass, AK

Sammy drops in on the south face of Sunburst, Turnagain Pass, AK. I skied virtually the same line and set off a class 4 avalanche with a 10-12 foot 1/4 mile wide crown face a couple of minutes later. I was the sixth skier of eight in our party. One thing we all learned is that other peoples tracks are a poor indication of a stable snowpack.
