  • This isn't 'just a version', this is the original, the man who wrote the song, the first and foremost version, and its live, not produced and mixed etc etc. You're entitled to your opinion but a nod to his talent might have been nice.

  • From a songwiter's point of view, this man has accomplished what we all dream of, coming across that seemingly simple set of lyrics, chord structure and melody that reaches deep into the heart and soul of everyone who listens. Then manages to get it to a verly talented artist who has the resources, and talent and good taste, who was able to reach deep into her soul and produce an amazing recording (adding to, and not destroying his original idea) that we all can enjoy for a long, long time.

  • its like the hammock and the beach came to me.

  • THE REAL AUTHOR OF THIS SONG IS A MAN NAME STEVE MALNIK.

  • gracias Jesse!

  • Many writers would agree it takes a great artist (like Norah) or more pertinently the RIGHT artist to really make a great song translate well. Not all songwriters are stellar performers (any "in the round" night with hit writers is often a testament to that, haha), just like not all performers are stellar songwriters.

That said, it's a great song Jesse, thanks for writing it; those of us who take a stab at writing dig your mastery of the craft. :)

  • Amazing.

  • Does anyone else like his shirt? :D

  • @flaviolima91 i agree with you for did you say of John Mayer and Norah Jones (and in my opinion a few more artists)

  • Jesse Harris, Norah Jones, John Mayer and Damien Rice: 4 of the best musicians of our time.
