  • Thanks for the feedback, lumberjack1475. I already knew I wasn't that good, but your learned observation cinches it for me. I am sure I could have done better but I couldn't find the video of you reciting anything in a Scots accent to see how it's to be done, and I am sure that chap with the Italian sounding name you recommend has the Scots accent nailed. And if I had years to devote to it, I bet you're right--I could get it right.

  • @geoffbad Nice recital, but forgive me but the accent is definitely not Scottish. And you make a mistake at "what though on hamely fare we dine", and sometimes speak english and not scots. But on the whole good recital, good intonation and a' that. Work on the accent and you can get it right. I wasn't born with it, takes years of training, but good luck if you want to try. Listen to Paolo Nutini's version for the accent
