@UltraConservative298 your kidding right? Carnegie had his own "shanty towns" where he used inflated prices to keep his immigrant slaves in line. The Meat industry in Chicago was a TERRIBLE and inhumane exploitation of Immigrant labor and functioned on IGNORANCE. The Immigrants came here in search of a better life. You think they know that Corporations would use them as tools?
As for Vandy, his lobbying is unprecedented.

@muslimgiga True that many businessmen have lobbied Congress. As for exploiting immigrants, no just no. That is pure propaganda. When supply increases, price decreases. Wage is a price. The immigrants were willing to work for lower wages. If they did not want to be "exploited" by the "evil" "robber barons," they should not have come here in the first place. The fact is that they received higher wages, and a higher standard of living, here than the countries from which they emigrated.

@UltraConservative298 Carnegie and Vanderbilt were inhumane in their business practices. They basically RAN American politics through lobbying. Carnegie exploited immigrants while Vandy bought congressman.
I agree with EVERYTHING Woods said, but That's not enough for me to NOT hate the behavior of the steel mill, the meat industry and oil industry.

Paul/Woods 2012!
Great video! I am so sick and tired of this propaganda that the rich are evil. Anyone who spouts such drivel is either a loser or a tyrant. It is so amazing that it is taught in universities that the trusts of the late 1800s and early 1900s were jacking up prices and lowering quality. It is a complete LIE, and it is absolutely unbelievable that it could pass as intellectually honest. To all you so-called progressives, "robber barons" is a lie, so shove your anti-trust schemes up your ass!
