"This is the Chief Librarian's corn snake, Darth Slitherous.

Corn snakes are among the gentles and best pets for anyone who wants a snake as a pet.

They are easy to care for and they do not mind being handled, as long as you approach them in a friendly fashion.

Snakes are more scared of people than people are scared of snakes. That is because they are low to the ground, and their eyes are programmed to quickly detect movement. If you approach them slowly, they will let you pick them up. They are nervous if you see them make an S-shape with their neck."
