How to make a Tron Legacy costume

This is how I made mine. I took EL wire and a cheap long sleeved shirt and wove it in and out of the shirt to make cool looking patterns that resemble a Tron Legacy Light Suit. It's going to be a great costume for halloween or just for Cosplay, or if you jsut wanna wear it around for the heck of it. Either way, it looks really awesome in low light.

I know it's only February and not even close to Halloween but are you really going to whip up a cool costume a week before Oct 31? might as well start a.s.a.p.... right?

btw, total cost of this, $28, cant beat that for the coolest costume ever, can ya?

instead of thread I just used duck tape to secure it all down on the inside is that okay ?

shouldve done some el tape dude,,, i know its more expensive but looks cool. im thinking of doing my motorcycle jacket with just one line down the right zipper in 1 inch tape and maybe near my shoulder an elbow to a circle... saw all of it on ebay for reasonable i think like 38 bucks total

That is so awesome! So, about how long did it take you to finish the whole costume? Also, do you think it would work to sew in white paper on the sections that you closed off with the EL wire? Because in the movie they had whole sections lit up, so I was thinking if you could lighten the thicker fully colored in sections it might look more like the movie's costumes.

@jilliexbean that's a good idea, I was trying to think of ways to make the glow areas more full but i think youd have to use something a little more flexible than paper. try it and see how it looks! let me know!
