These guys probably have some more chatter I didn't get. Oh well. These are the guys in the communications room on the tanker. Thanks to my handy dandy disguise kit, they think I'm just another good ol' MJ12 operative and tell me that they're busy and I'm not supposed to be up there.

I have to wonder why these conversations exist. There is no way to be friendly to the Chinese soldiers on the tanker without cheats.

  • How do you disguise yourself as an MJ12 trooper? With cheats? What are those cheats?

  • @FoxNewsRulez I made a custom "weapon" disguise kit thing. Go to my webpage (see my profile) and it's in the Deus Ex section. You'll need to know how to summon items with the cheat console.

  • Interesting. Also in the game they talk like MJ12 troopers, yet in THIS, they talk in a Chinese accent. I have a question, how do Spiderbots react to MJ12 troopers? Are they allied or against people in general, not just JC Denton?

  • @APyleOfVinyl In as often as I remember checking, spiderbots have no alliance and hate the player, so they're neutral to everyone else by default. They can be made to hate anything with very little effort.

  • @Markworth Interesting. Why JC? The augmentations? Also, what is the story behind the spiderbots? Who developed them and what were they used fore? I can understand all the other robots since they were introduced in the training mission, but why the spiders?

  • @APyleOfVinyl Spiderbots are made by Chiang (some Chinese robotics manufacturer, I presume). The little ones are used as maintenance and security. The big ones are made for riot control. Their AI behavior is probably made to resemble the idea that they're specifically programmed to attack JC or intruders in general. The fact they're not allied with anything is probably just a convenience. They don't really co-exist with other NPCs very often.

  • These conversations exist in the game because, originally, you could either choose to join the NSF or stay with the UNATCO. However, it seems the developers couldn't balance the storylines in the right way (this is just an assumption, but I think that the UNATCO path storyline was considerably shorter than the NSF one), so they decided to force the player into joining the NSF, thus making all these chats useless.

  • We auh busy righ now

  • @APyleOfVinyl Each character has a BarkName and a SharedBarkName. When the original conversations with the character run out, the NPC initiates the Shared barks, in this case; MJ12 AI barks. That's what I think

  • Chinese Military: "We are busy... Starin' at the screens."

Chinese Military: "The switch just came up. We have a lot to do... But we ain't doin' it."

Chinese Military: "We do not need any help... We can walk by ourselves."

Chinese Military: "Just a minute... Let me go to the bathroom."

  • Their Engrish is augmented.

  • It would be super cool if you could join the mj12 i mean i would really really really enjoy it if i could boss people around in NY and sending troops in, if i could mess up the triads so mj12 takes over hong kong or if i killed morgan everett and even raid the vanderberg base !

  • Their chatting is augmented

  • @Deidara204 yeah like you can also mod the game. So like if you wanted a mod where, for example, you were NSF there you go these guys like you.

  • @haloharley15 Jussamineh.
