I have very mixed feeling about whether or not Dion should have fought. In one regard, our teams needs toughness, specifically after rangers rag dolled our forwards... and going back at him for that hit and fighting him was awesome to see... However, I do agree the timing was terrible.... but most specifically......

Kadri was benched in favor of Rosehill for a reason.... and it was NOT so that Rosehill could get fighting tips from Brown and Phaneuf...

I see your point about Phaneuf, Steve, but personally, I liked it. Maybe it's just a personal pet peeve, but I can't stand seeing others going into a scrap for someone else. Makes that person look so weak. I have more respect for Phaneuf now because he did it (not that I'm saying I never had any respect for him to begin with). As for the string of losses, Wilson needs to expand his 1 strategy. Make different ones, make the other team adapt and guess. Leafs are too predictable.

As a Sens fan, I have no idea why torontoians are so hard on the leafs. We dont have nearly as many fans as you, but our fan base is passionate. I mean yeah I understand, you havent made the playoffs in years, but maybe if you didn't put so much pressure on the leafs they might relax a little more. In my opinion its just a guy sticking up for himself, regardless if its your captain or not. Foligno is my favourite player, and while I don't like the hit, I can live with it.

The interference on Reimer: I'll chalk that up as a make-up for letting Colton Orr tackle a goal 2 seasons back and still allow the goal. :P

There is nothing wrong with Phaneuf sticking up for himself, gives the next guy second thoughts prior to their cheap shots. I know Monster lets in some bad goals but he is not consistantly given up the same goal. I am getting so tired of hearing "that one off Reimer's glove", they are not all going into the net but he needs to work on his glove.

To add to my last comment: Not only did Reimer get interfered but there were several (and I mean several) penalties that would have been called on any other night not being called (both teams). The game should have been 2-1 in favour of the Toronto Maple Leafs.

I don't get why people are harping on Phaneuf fighting. What people should be harping on is on the referees. That was the worst officiation of a hockey game I've ever seen.A guy sits on an opponent's goalie and scores and it counts.WTF is that crap.The refs go upstairs to look for a kicking motion.What kind of f**king kicking motion are you looking for you dumb refs? There is obviously an opposing player sitting on the goalie.Is that not called goalie interference?The last time i checked it was.
