I couldn't help but feel the resonance between these two events. The Hindenburg was a showpiece for the Nazi government in Germany. It used extremely flammable hydrogen due to a trade embargo. With ninety-seven people on board plus the ground crew, it is amazing that there were only thirty-five fatalities. This broadcast and the accompanying quote "Oh the humanity" by Herbert Morrison were part of the first nation-wide newscast in US history.
o_o never heard of the Hindenburg disaster, thanks for showing. But now i feel even more sad it was terrible to hear the reporter cry & see it too x_x
