They are one of the few pure white Religious communities on earth.

it's a shame the documentary maker seems to have such contempt for the Amish way of life - it's really coloured the whole production.

@1caramarie Thats so true he abandoned everything from his old faith and what I like about the amish is they don't try convert anybody. Also now he thinks god will fix it .I can't stand those people who try to convert other, the way he is now he justifies himself to old scriptures instead of a bishops now he is really going into the other extreme.

They seem like kind wholesome people. Legalistic and a bit deluded in some regards....but they are decent people who care about their families.
They don't hurt anybody

Religion is dumb when you follow it to the letter, and even dumber when you do that and start making your own assumptions about the texts... RELIGION = PEOPLE AFRAID OF DEATH, AND THEIR LAST CHANCE OF ''CONTROLLING'' IT!
