Montreal's bike lanes put Toronto's afterthoughts thereof to shame. Toronto is woefully behind its master plan's directive to have more than 5x the bike lanes in place by now.The lanes are badly placed, competing with existing crowded streets and ill thought out. They're used as delivery truck parking, taxi drop offs, winter snow storage or construction site operations bases for nearby roadwork. Worse, they're never cleaned of debris from winter til about late May. Nearby connecting thru side streets should be used instead (eg Huron instead of Spadina's 1.5 foot wide bike 'lane').
