@purpleGoAhead Kepp in mind that most of the chrome you see on it it just plastics, they make it look much better but weight nothing. Exhaust, forks, handle bar, front light and trims on back fender plus few little bits are metal, rest (including the big, shiny air filter cover) are plastic. Those chrome cylinder covers were metal as well i think but that's fake too, just for looks. None the less, it is a head turner, looks bigger than average 125cc and sounds better than most other (unmodded)

@McFr3ak I was just about to buy a Virago when i saw this one and changed my mind, same class, just a matter of different taste :-)
-
@skitherbird1984 Good for you, you will have loads of fun with it but if you used to ride high suspended bikes, it's weird to switch to "low rider"
-
@RealMusicValue yeah... i own a virago 125 and you know what? they're the same as the dragstar but more classic and stylish, wouldn't trade for anything in the world!
-
@purpleGoAhead go for dragstar then... from what i can understand the virago is kind of a little bitch >.<
-
@skitherbird1984 Congratulations you lucky-ass son of a bitch x] i gotta stick with my 125 honda varadero
-
I JUST BOUGHT 1!!!!!!! XD

They ARE fairly heavy in the sense that at low-speeds, you feel the weight, but it helps you balance oddly enough, counteracts your own physical weight so you feel more confident!
Biggest difference between Single-Pot's and V2's is the V2's are smoother in acceleration, and have ALOT more grunt in 1st to 3rd gear in the low revs, i used to out-run my friends DT125X from 0-30mph on my XVS125! :D
-
is CBT enough to ride this bike?
-
@drnerka *surprised* i thought these V-twin 125's are a lot heavier than my little SR 125 (113kg with fuel and oil) i really wanna test-drive a Virago 125 or a Dragstar 125 like yours to see the difference between my singlecylinder and those V2's... beautiful bike you have there!

to be honest i never used any chrome polish chemicals, i'm using furniture polish spray with wax, works perfect and conserves it for relatively low price. Hint: don't use furniture polish on the seat cause it's really slippery then.
-
@drnerka how do you clean the chrome? thought about this bike but the chrome is the only problem i've come across..
-
Thanks ::)

The bike isn't heavier than others in it's class but it's easy to control cause driver seats very low, it seems light in steering, way lighter than sportbikes. It's real weight is in and around about 130 Kg i'd say.
-
is it a heavy and big bike?
-
I just payed mine yesterday, aged 29, 1 year no claim bonus, privisional, came out 540 Euro or something like that. On full licence it would be around 300 Euro i guess. Anyways, it's a great starter bike, easy to drive, tolerant to mistakes. Only flaw in it is the amount of chrome which you have to clean, looks god but requires more cleaning-polishing than a sportsbike.

-

@basket997 I don't really remember, switched to Honda CB750 (also can be seen in my profile) but what i do remember is that when i was going up the road (not even a hill, just a slight slope) and against the irish winds, it was hard to keep it at 70kmph. This bike shouldn't be rev'd too high 'cause it simply doesn't sound right so i wasn't racing it. 100kmph (64mph) was easily doable if i remember correctly but you need conditions for that (no wind, straight (no hills) stretch of road etc.
